Universal Travel Adapter

When your living in Japan, you'll need to charge things. Sure you'll buy more Japanese products with the correct plugs, but for those things you bring with you this is a major help. Also I like this one because it has a lot of extra spaces to plug in other items.

Hanko Case w/Ink pad

Ok, this is more of a luxury item than anything. In Japan, you'll need a hanko, personal seal, to get a bank account an sign a bunch government documents. When you get a hanko they often give you a little leather bag for it, and whenever you need to sign something, there's ussually ink. If you like being fancy however, this is a nice touch.

Dehumidifier

Japan is very humid, just about everywhere. Mold is a real issue in Japan, but if you keep the humidity down in your appartment/home you won't have to worry! Along with our Aircons dehumidifier function we keep this one in our washing area. It can't keep the whole house dry, but it does wonders for those rooms the aircon isn't in!
